What's the deal with VT's GPA calculator?

I'm studying pretty hard and trying to keep my GPA as high as possible for applying to Virginia Tech. I heard they've got a GPA calculator. Does anyone know how to use it, or can show me where to find it?

Virginia Tech (VT) does indeed have a GPA calculator that can help students understand their standing academically. The VT GPA calculator will ask you for the number of credits and the letter grade for each class you're taking. After inputting this data, the calculator will generate your cumulative GPA.

To find the GPA calculator, you can simply navigate to the "Current Student Resources" section of the Virginia Tech website. It's located under the "Academic Tools" section.

To use it, you would need to enter each of your courses, the corresponding credit hours, and your grade (or anticipated grade). The calculator will then tell you what your GPA for the semester will be, based on the information you entered.

It's important to note though, GPA isn't the only factor VT looks at during admissions. They also consider other things like your standardized test scores, high school course rigor, extracurricular involvement, and your essays. But maintaining a solid GPA is definitely a great starting point! Keep up the good work.
