How to calculate UCF GPA?

Hey all, I'm applying to the University of Central Florida and having a tough time figuring out how to calculate my GPA the way UCF does it. Does anyone know their method? Also, if you've got tips on boosting my academic profile for UCF, I'm all ears!

When calculating GPA, UCF uses a standard 4.0 scale:

- A: 4 points

- B: 3 points

- C: 2 points

- D: 1 points

- F: 0 points

To calculate your GPA, assign each of your letter grades a points value based on the scale. Then, for each class, multiply the points value by the number of credits that class was worth. This gives you your total points for each class.

Once you've done this for all your classes, add all these points together. This number is your total grade points.

Next, add up the total amount of credits you've received from all your classes - this is your total credits.

Finally, divide your total grade points by your total credits. This gives you your GPA.

As for boosting your academic profile for UCF, remember that, although GPA is important, it isn't the only thing UCF is looking at. Make sure to have strong extracurriculars and demonstrate leadership and dedication in a few areas. Remember, focusing on quality of involvement over quantity is key.

Strong test scores (SAT or ACT), if you've taken them, could help as well. UCF isn't test-optional so you should send in your scores if they're strong relative to UCF's averages.

Finally, write a compelling essay. This is your chance to make yourself stand out and express something about you that grades and scores can't convey. Always proofread your essays and have someone else read them over. Try to pick a topic that is unique to you and shows something about your character. These are just some ways of improving your overall application to UCF.

Good luck!
