Hey everyone, I've been doing some research and I think I want to be based at Fort Bragg once I enlist but I'm a bit confused. Can anyone tell me what military branch is associated with Fort Bragg? What kinds of roles and jobs exist there? Any insights would be vastly appreciated.
Hello! Fort Liberty, formerly called Fort Bragg, is a major United States Army installation. It's home to the Army's airborne forces, and it encompasses many divisions, including the 82nd Airborne Division and the United States Army Special Operations Command. Enlisting in the Army would be your path to potentially being stationed at Fort Liberty.
Regarding jobs and roles, it's quite varied. Fort Liberty is one of the most diverse and versatile installations in the Army. It's home to roles in various military capacities such as infantry units, special forces groups, psychological operations teams, global response forces, and artillery battalions, among others.
In order to give yourself the best shot at being stationed there, you should consider enlisting as an 11B (Infantryman), 18X (Special Forces Candidate), or 13F (Fire Support Specialist), as these are amongst the most common MOS (Military Occupational Specialties) at Fort Liberty.
It's great that you're doing research and gathering information before making any decisions. Be sure to continue speaking with people who've had these experiences, and consider reaching out to an Army recruiter to understand more about the process and opportunities. They can provide a wealth of knowledge and help guide you through your decision. Best of luck with your future military career!
