Minimum GPA requirement for Texas A&M?

It's kind of a long shot for me, but I really want to apply to Texas A&M University. I'm just curious if anyone on here knows the minimum GPA requirement for admission or the average GPA of admitted students? Thank you!

For undergraduate admissions at Texas A&M University, there isn't a textbook "cut-off" line when it comes to GPAs. Instead, they consider your academic achievement in the context of the rigour of your high school curriculum and the competitive nature of your high school's environment.

However, it's important to note that the average unweighted high school GPA of the accepted freshman class at Texas A&M for last year was around 3.68 on a 4.0 scale. This indicates that the school is quite competitive; most admitted students had grades in the "A-" range or better. Admission to Texas A&M is holistic, meaning they consider other factors as well, such as your SAT or ACT scores, extracurricular activities, application essay, and yes, your GPA too.

Remember, the college application process is not just about meeting the minimum requirements. It's about showing the admission committee why you would be a good fit for the university's community and demonstrating your potential to succeed in their academic environment. So aim high, present your best self in your application and bolster your application with compelling essays, strong recommendations, and meaningful extracurricular involvement. Good luck with your application to Texas A&M!
