The Navy also offers roles in intelligence, such as intelligence specialists who analyze and disseminate top-secret information to inform strategic decisions. The Navy's intelligence roles often provide a more global perspective, and there's an opportunity to specialize in things like cryptology.

Army and Marine Corps intelligence careers often focus more on battlefield intelligence and ground operations, interpreting and disseminating information that directly impacts troops on the ground.

Do note, however, that potential duty station locations, the branch's overall mission, size, as well as other lifestyle factors may also influence your decision. Keep in mind that intelligence work in any branch will potentially require security clearance, and will build skills that are transferable to civilian intelligence roles post-service, such as those in the CIA, FBI, or private sector.
