Best strategy for listing college courses on Common App?

Hey everyone, I’ve been taking some courses at my local community college, and I'm not sure how to properly list them on my Common App. I want to make sure that colleges see these courses since they are related to my intended major. Any tips or a step-by-step on how to add these college courses? Thanks!

Hello there! It's wonderful to hear that you're taking initiative by enrolling in community college courses. Here's a step-by-step guide to include them on your Common App:

First, when you get to the 'Education' section of the Common App, you should list your high school details. Then, add another entry for the community college under the 'Colleges & Universities' subsection. Include the dates you attended and the number of credits you completed. Remember to request an official transcript from the community college and have it sent to the colleges where you're applying, as this verification of your completion of these courses is an essential part of the process.

For the 'Courses & Grades' section, if the colleges you're applying to require you to self-report your grades, you'll add your community college courses there just like you would for high school courses. Be sure to accurately list the course titles and grades, exactly as they appear on your official community college transcript, as that will ensure your application looks professional.

Best of luck with your applications!
