GPA calculator for Baruch College?

Hey fam, I've been sweating over calculating my GPA for Baruch College. Does anyone know if there's a specific calculator for Baruch or can I use a general one? Much appreciated!

Hello! For Baruch College, you don't need a separate or specific calculator to calculate your GPA. You can use a general GPA calculator, just confirm it's using a 4.0 scale, which is the scale Baruch uses.

Here's how it works in simple terms: A-grade is equivalent to a 4.0, B is a 3.0, C is a 2.0, and D is a 1.0. Plus grades add .33 to the grade (so a B+ is a 3.33) and minus grades subtract .33 (so B- is a 2.67). An F grade equates to 0 points and will affect your average significantly.

To calculate your GPA, multiply the numeric grade you got in each course by the number of credit hours the course was worth, add these up, then divide by the total number of credit hours you've taken. With this information, you can use any GPA calculator or even calculate it on your own. Remember, this is your unweighted GPA.

However, note that GPA is not evaluated in isolation. Baruch, like most colleges, considers other factors including rigor of your high school coursework, test scores (if applicable), letters of recommendation, personal statement, and extracurricular activities. All the best with the application process!
