What are the biggest colleges by enrollment?

Hi, future college applicant here. I'm actually quite interested in attending a big college with lots of students. Can anyone let me know which are the biggest colleges by enrollment in the US? And maybe share your experiences or insights about the benefits and drawbacks of larger colleges?

Sure, happy to provide some information on this. Two of the largest universities by enrollment in the US are:

1. University of Central Florida (UCF), with over 69,000 students.

2. Texas A&M University, also with an enrollment that exceeds 75,000.

You'll often find that bigger colleges offer a wider array of majors, courses, and extracurriculars because of their size. This means you might have the chance to explore a greater variety of academic interests. Bigger institutions often also have more substantial resources, like extensive libraries, research facilities, and well-funded athletic programs.

There can be some drawbacks with larger universities, however. Classes, especially introductory level courses, can be quite large, which means the environment might not be as intimate and professors may not able to offer as much one-on-one attention. You might feel more like a number than a person in some of these settings, and forging close-knit relationships can be more challenging.

While enrolling in a large university has its pros and cons, it is largely an individual decision based on what you feel most comfortable with and what environment you believe will best help you thrive acadically and personally. I hope this information helps guide your college selection process!
