What's the most respected branch in the military?

I've always been interested in a military career post-high school and I kinda want to go for the branch that's most respected. Which military branch holds the most prestige?

Each branch of the military is uniquely respected for its individual strengths and contributions, and the prestige associated with each often depends on individual perceptions and interests.

The U.S. Army, for example, is the oldest branch and responsible for some of the more major, ground-based operations. Some might associate this with prestige due to its long history and an array of well-known combat operations.

The Navy is hailed for its power on the seas and has prestige in being able to project that power globally. Its role in securing the seas and oceans give it a significant strategic importance.

The Air Force, on the other hand, is often associated with technological prowess, innovation, and a focus on air and space capabilities, which might be seen as prestigious in today's highly technological era.

The Marines are typically known for their rigor and for being the first to enter combat situations. Their tough training standards often garner respect and, by extension, prestige.

Lastly, the Coast Guard, is internationally recognized for its role in maritime law enforcement, search and rescue, which demands a great deal of expertise and dedication.

In terms of prestige amongst the military community itself, often, each branch tends to respect the others for their distinct roles and expertise, in the grand scheme of the shared goal of national defense. Instead of focusing solely on prestige, it would be more beneficial to consider which branch aligns best with your personal interests, skills, and the military career path you want to pursue.
