Heads Up on UConn Tuition?

Guys, in total confusion here. Connecticut isn't too far off from where I am in Massachusetts and UConn seems like a great fit. However, I haven't got a clear idea of the tuition front. What's the expected amount per year?

Sure thing, I can help clarify that for you! On the whole, tuition cost can depend on a few factors, including whether you'll be living on campus or commuting, your residency status, etc. For the 2024-2025 academic year, out-of-state students attending UConn can expect a base tuition of approximately $44,282.

If you're planning to live on campus, you'll also need to account for housing and meal plans. A standard double room and meal plan at UConn is approximately $14,380. Therefore, when you combine tuition, room, and board, the total expected amount per year for an out-of-state student living on campus would be around $58,600.

Please note, these are just the base figures. You'll also need to budget for personal expenses, books, and possibly health insurance if you aren't covered elsewhere.

Remember to apply for financial aid and scholarships to help offset these costs. UConn offers a variety of scholarships for out-of-state students that can greatly help reduce the financial burden.
