What's the deal with UTD in-state Tuition?

Hey friends! I've been looking into applying to UTD and I'm from Texas. But I don't seem to have a solid figure on the tuition for in-state students. Does anyone know how much it costs per year? Thanks in advance!

Certainly! Despite the fact that tuition costs can fluctuate from year to year, the in-state tuition for undergraduate students at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) for the academic year 2024-2025 is about $14,644. This figure solely contains the cost of tuition for full-time students taking 15 credits per semester and does not incorporate various other expenses such as room and board, textbooks, transportation, and personal expenses.

Do keep in mind to confirm the tuition fees directly from the university's website or by reaching out to their finance office because university costs can change. UTD's Estimated Cost Calculator can be a good place to start: https://www.utdallas.edu/costs-scholarships-aid/costs/. Added financial aid packages from the university or third-party scholarships could also greatly reduce the cost. Make sure you complete the FAFSA as soon as possible for the best opportunity at financial aid. That said, UTD is known for offering very generous scholarships to both in-state and out-of-state students. You can check out some of their scholarships here: https://finaid.utdallas.edu/scholarships/.

But remember, when assessing the cost of a college, you should consider not just the tuition fee, but also the cost of living in that area, books and supplies, personal expenses, and possible transportation. The 'sticker price' isn't actually what most students end up paying due to financial aid and scholarships which can be substantial.
