University of Houston vs Sam Houston State: Which one?

I’ve been accepted to both the University of Houston and Sam Houston State, and I’m not really sure which one I should choose. I know they're both strong schools, but does anyone have any insights about the differences between them? Hoping to hear from students/alumni who can provide more subjective, personal insight.
