Question about Colleges in Alabama and Wisconsin

So, I've been thinking about attending a college either in Huntsville, Alabama or Kenosha, Wisconsin. Both are lovely cities and I could definitely see myself living there. Does anyone have insights on schools in these areas, more on the academic side like class size, professor involvement, etc.?

In Huntsville, Alabama, you might want to consider the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). UAH, a part of the University of Alabama system, has a solid reputation, especially for its STEM programs. The university has a student-faculty ratio of 19:1 which allows for good interaction between students and faculty. Furthermore, about 48% of its classes have fewer than 20 students. Popular majors here include Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Nursing.

Move over to Kenosha, Wisconsin, Carthage College is a liberal arts college that prides itself on its small class sizes and active learning philosophy. The student-faculty ratio at Carthage is 13:1, and half of its classes have fewer than 20 students, allowing for lots of one-on-one interaction with professors. Popular majors at Carthage include Business, Biology, and Psychology.

Both offer different types of environments which are important to consider. UAH is a mid-sized university in a city known as a technology hub, which also provides opportunities for internships and jobs in those sectors. Carthage, on the other hand, offers a more intimate setting on a beautifully landscaped campus on the shores of Lake Michigan, with lots of personal attention from professors.

One point to note: While both schools are committed to undergraduate teaching, as evident through their class sizes and student-faculty ratios, you might also want to consider the academic strengths of each school in your particular area(s) of interest. In the end, the choice would also rely on your fit with the school's community, culture and your long-term career goals.
