How does Emory calculate GPA?

Hey all, does any Emory student (or alum) know how they weight their GPA? Do they use a 4.0 scale, or do they have a different method? Is there a specific GPA calculator for Emory students?

Emory University, like other institutions, uses the 4.0 GPA scale. That being said, they look at unweighted GPAs and don't use a specific weight system for AP or IB courses. This makes your transcript assessment more uniform, as a 4.0 signifies straight A's, irrespective of the rigor of the classes.

However, Emory University takes into account the level of rigor in your course load.
