Considering small universities in Texas, need advice

Hi everyone, I'm beginning my college search and I've been looking mostly at medium to large schools, but recently I'm considering smaller universities in Texas. Can anyone share their experiences or knowledge about these? I'm a bit confused and could really use your help!
