Any recommended colleges in Grand Junction?

Hi! I'm living in or near Grand Junction and I'm trying to stay close to home for college. Do you guys know of any good colleges in this area? I'm still undecided about my major, so I'm looking for a school with a wide variety of programs.

Certainly, the primary institution located directly in Grand Junction is Colorado Mesa University (CMU). CMU is a comprehensive public university that offers a broad range of academic programs, including business, healthcare, teacher education, science and arts.

What's interesting about CMU is its "liberal arts, career-directed" mission, meaning it provides a blend of traditional liberal arts education along with career-training programs. It offers numerous bachelor's degrees, associate degrees, and professional certificates, so it's excellent for undecided students who want to explore different fields of study.

However, another option not too far away is Western Colorado University in Gunnison. It's approximately a two-hour drive from Grand Junction and also offers a good variety of programs, with a particular emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences.

Do make sure to visit these campuses if possible, explore their course catalogs, and reach out to admissions counselors to get a feel for what might be the best fit for you. Keep in mind that choosing a college is also about fit – academically, socially and financially – so don't hesitate to consider those aspects as well.
