What's the easiest course to take in college?

Hello peeps! I'm registering for classes and I need something light to balance my heavy workload. So, I'm asking: in your experience, what's an easy (or at least less demanding) course I could take? I'm open to any department. Thanks in advance!

Hello! Just remember that what's considered "easy" can vary greatly depending on personal interests, previous exposure to a certain field, and individual strengths and weaknesses. However, I've heard from numerous students that introductory sociology or introductory psychology courses are often seen as less demanding. These courses usually cover broad topics which are interesting and relatively straightforward to understand, with typically no prerequisites.

Classes like "Introduction to Art History" are also often regarded as less intense. This holds especially true if you enjoy visual learning and discussions around different aesthetic elements as these courses generally involve studying various artists, their works, and the historical context surrounding them.

Lastly, consider taking a physical education course if it's offered and aligns with your interests. Options like "Beginner's Yoga," "Introduction to Dance," or "Basic Fitness" can provide a fun respite from traditionally taxing academic courses not to mention the added health benefits.

Ultimately, it's about picking something you find enjoyable, as it’s usually easier to do well in a class you’re interested in. It won't necessarily feel like a chore, even if there's still work involved. I would recommend looking at course descriptions and maybe asking upperclassmen about their experiences with certain classes or professors. Happy scheduling!
