Easiest City for College Students to Travel?

I'm in my junior year and starting to think about colleges! Being able to explore and travel a bit is a priority for me. Could anyone recommend cities that are particularly easy to navigate for college students? Public transport, bike lanes, walkability, all of it counts.

One city known for its accessibility and strong public transportation is Boston, Massachusetts. Home to numerous colleges such as Boston University, MIT, and Harvard, the city has a lot in store for students. The public transportation system, known as the "T," is a comprehensive subway system that covers much of the city and its suburbs, providing easy access to different parts of the city.

San Francisco, California is another fantastic city for college students - it's home to numerous colleges like University of San Francisco, San Francisco State, and UCSF. It has extensive bus and tram systems, the famous cable cars, and a subway service under BART. It's also one of the most bike-friendly cities in the U.S., with well-marked bike lanes throughout the city. San Francisco is quite walkable too, although it does have some steep hills!

Another city to consider is Washington D.C. The city's Metro system is extensive and covers a lot of ground. There are also several bike-sharing programs and pedestrian-friendly streets. With universities like Georgetown, Howard, and American University, D.C offers a blend of educational and cultural experiences.

Austin, Texas is a city known for its bicycle friendliness, with many bicycle lanes throughout the city. Public transportation is also an option via the Capital Metro. Universities in Austin include University of Texas at Austin, St. Edwards University and Huston-Tillotson University.
