Seeking Easy Online Course Suggestions at Howard Community College

Hello all, I'm currently enrolled at Howard Community College and I'm looking for suggestions for the easiest online class I could take next term. If you've had any positive experiences with specific courses or professors, please let me know!

Finding a course that is "easy" can be highly dependent on your areas of strength and interest. Students tend to perform better in classes that they enjoy and are passionate about. With this in mind, I would recommend identifying your areas of interest first.

That being said, some classes are traditionally considered less challenging due to their nature or the way they are typically taught. At community colleges like Howard Community College, these might include introductory classes in a range of subjects. For example:

Introduction to Art: This kind of course typically requires no previous background in art and covers a wide variety of time periods, artists, and styles.

Intro to Psychology: If you're interested in how the mind works, this course usually covers basic principles and theories in psychology which can spark interesting discussions and doesn't usually involve laborious lab work.

Public Speaking: While this might initially seem daunting, public speaking courses usually provide a supportive environment for learning and improvement. These courses can be less academic and more practical.

General Studies: These courses tend to be broad in scope and require a lot of reading and discussion rather than technical or detailed analytical work.

Keep in mind that the professor teaching the course can make a huge difference in how challenging the course is. I'd recommend looking at RateMyProfessors or similar platforms to get a sense of the coursework and teaching style of the professors for the courses you're considering.

Finally, remember that “easy” can sometimes lead to less engagement, and therefore you might not get as much out of an 'easy' course as you may think. So, it may be beneficial to find a balance between challenge and manageability. Good luck with your course selection!
