One notable institution is Franklin College, a private liberal arts college that emphasizes small class sizes and close teacher-student interactions. It's known for its immersive learning experiences that blend theory and practice. Their Business, Biology, and Journalism programs are particularly strong.

Another option near Franklin is the University of Indianapolis located in Indianapolis, the state capital. It is a private university which offers more than 100 degree programs. They also have small class sizes and numerous internship and extracurricular opportunities thanks to its urban location.
