Best CUNY schools for pre-dental?

Hey guys, I'm a rising junior thinking about going into pre-dental studies. Does anyone know which CUNY schools would be good for that? I wouldn't say I'm looking for the 'easiest', but something manageable would be nice. Any tips?

A couple of CUNY schools have strong science programs, which are crucial for pre-dental studies as they will prepare you for dental school prerequisites.

City College (CCNY) is recognized for its robust science programs and pre-health advising. They offer individualized advising, workshops, and events like medical and dental school admissions panels which could be advantageous for a pre-dental student. It also benefits from the relatively small class sizes for an urban university, so you can get a more personalized learning experience.

Queens College is another viable option for pre-dental studies owing to its strong biological sciences and chemistry programs. They also have an active pre-medical/pre-dental advising office that can assist with course selection, application processes, mock interviews, and more to prepare students for the admission process to professional schools which include dental colleges.

Likewise, Hunter College also has a well-regarded science program coupled with a Pre-Health Professions Advising Office that supports students interested in pre-dental and other health-related fields.

However, understanding the load and intensity of pre-professional programs is significant. Pre-dental studies will generally involve challenging course loads with biology, chemistry, anatomy, and other science classes. It's always a good idea to talk to advisors or other students in the program to gauge if it's a good fit for you.

Research and consider these colleges but also remember to consider other factors like location, campus culture, and financial aid which can also affect your college experience to a large extent. Additionally, dental schools look at your GPA, DAT (Dental Admissions Test) scores, extracurriculars like shadowing and volunteering, so wherever you go make sure you are setting yourself up for success in these areas.
