What's the Easiest Major Category?

Arts or Sciences, Business or Humanities - which category of majors do you think is the simplest to handle at an undergraduate level? Just trying to gauge where my interests might align with the difficulty level.

In choosing a college major, it's important to know that the "easiest" or "hardest" major can vary widely for different individuals since it largely depends on your personal skills, interests, and academic strengths.

For instance, if you have a knack for understanding and analyzing abstract concepts, you may find Philosophy (a Humanities major) or Physics (a Science major) approachable. Business majors can be straightforward for those who enjoy practical problem-solving and have strong quantitative skills. Meanwhile, someone who has high creativity and strong visual-spatial skills might find an Arts program less challenging.

That being said, keep in mind that all majors will require effort and dedication. Even though some might appear "easier" due to your natural inclinations, you will still encounter challenging coursework and high expectations. Ultimately, pursuing a major aligned with your interests and ambitions typically leads to a more rewarding and successful academic experience. Rather than focusing on the perceived difficulty of a major, consider which subjects genuinely excite and motivate you.

One method you could use is to explore introductory classes in various fields during your first year of college. This exposure can give you a clear sense of different disciplines and can help you identify your interests and strengths. You could also speak with professors, academic advisors, or upperclassmen in different departments to get a better sense of what studying in those fields might be like.

Remember, there's no universal easy or hard major - it truly depends on the individual and their unique talents and interests. Ultimately, the best major for you will be the one that aligns with your career goals and personal passion.
