Davidson College Easiest Classes

Another Davidson College hopeful here. I'm really trying to strategize my course picks for my first year. Are there any classes at Davidson College that might be considered a bit easier than others? I just want to ensure I start my college experience on a positive note. Any advice would be appreciated.

While it's understandable you'd want to ease into your first year at Davidson College, it's important to know that difficulty levels of classes can be somewhat subjective, depending largely on your personal strengths, interests, and major. However, some widely acknowledged introductory courses students find less challenging include PSY 101- General Psychology and SOC 101- Introduction to Sociology, primarily because they are lectures with accessible introductory content.

That said, another approach might look beyond the perceived difficulty of a class to think about what you enjoy and might excel at. For example, if you are interested in literature, you might find an introductory literature course both enjoyable and less stressful, even if the material is challenging.

Furthermore, remember that part of the college experience is about challenging yourself and growing academically. You might want to select classes that seem interesting to you even if they might not be described as "easy". You will likely find these classes more engaging and rewarding in the long run. I hope you find this helpful, and best of luck with your academic journey at Davidson College!
