Cambridge colleges for History

Hey, crazy question, but does anyone know which Cambridge colleges might have a better acceptance rate for History courses?

While acceptance rates can fluctuate from year to year, a few Cambridge colleges traditionally see fewer applications for History, which in turn may increase a student's chance of acceptance. Based on historical data, Girton, Darwin, and Magdalene College typically have fewer applicants for History courses.

Remember that acceptance rates alone should not determine your choice of college at Cambridge. Each college has a unique culture, character, and teaching staff. You should consider many aspects such as location, facilities, accommodation, student support, and extracurricular opportunities.

Cambridge University also explains that if a college has too many applicants in any given subject, the other colleges could still admit you even if you've applied somewhere else. This system, known as the 'pool,' ensures that no strong candidates miss out on a place due to their college preferences. So, applying to a college with a higher acceptance rate does not necessarily mean you are more likely to be offered a place at the University.

You may want to consider attending an online open day to learn more about the different colleges and talk to staff and students about their experiences before making your decision. This can give you a better feel for the colleges, their facilities and the overall environment.
