Easiest College Science Class?

Science is a bit of a challenge for me – always has been. So, I'm taking this opportunity to plan ahead a bit. Does anyone know which college science course would be the easiest one to take for someone who isn't a natural-born scientist?

If you're looking for a science class that's not too complex but will still fulfill your science requirement, you might want to consider introductory astronomy or geology, depending on your interests.

Astronomy is often considered one of the more straightforward science courses. It typically involves learning about the planets, stars, galaxies, and the larger universe, along with some of the physics principles that govern them. While it's definitely a science, it tends not to involve as much complex math or abstract thinking as physics or chemistry, making it a good fit for many students.

Geology is another potential choice. Again, it's a real science, but its focus on the Earth – from volcanoes and earthquakes to continental drift and fossil record – make it more accessible and useful in day-to-day life than many other sciences. Some schools may offer elementary oceanography as part of the geology department which can be interesting and easy to grasp as it covers marine ecosystems, seafloor topography, and ocean currents.

Lastly, environmental science can also be a good option. It's interdisciplinary and usually combines basic concepts from biology, chemistry, and physics to study environmental issues and potential solutions.

Remember to review the course syllabus, ask other students, or seek advice from academic advisors before making a choice. It's also important to note that what one person finds easy might not be the same for another, so ultimately consider taking something that aligns with your interests or curiosity. This often leads to greater engagement and better outcomes in the course.
