Easiest chemistry class to take in Florida colleges

Hey there! So I've been seeing a lot of posts about how heavy the workload is for some college-level chemistry classes. For colleges in Florida, which chemistry class do you guys think would be the least challenging for a student like me who isn't very strong in that subject?

It's important to remember that the "ease" or "difficulty" of a class can greatly depend on your personal strengths, learning style, and the specific professor that teaches the course. However, if you're searching for a less challenging chemistry course, many schools offer "Introductory Chemistry" or "Survey of Chemistry" courses that go over the basics and typically have less intensive lab work. At the University of Florida, for example, they offer CHM 1020 - Chemistry for Liberal Studies, which might be a good option.

These type of classes are often designed for students who aren't majoring in science and need to fulfill a science credit. They typically cover foundational principles such as Atomic Theory, Periodic Table, basic reactions and stoichiometry, without going too deep into complex concepts.

Here's an important piece of advice: sometimes a professor can make or break a class, and this is particularly true for subjects that may not be your strong suit. You might find RateMyProfessors or college-specific forums helpful to choose professors who are known for their good teaching style and reasonable exam structures. But remember, these tools should just be part of your process of choosing a course and not the sole determinant.

Finally, don't shy away from seeking out resources like study groups, tutoring, and office hours. Even if you're not strong in chemistry, support and additional practice can really help improve your understanding of the subject. Good luck!
