Advice on University of Michigan colleges for acceptance

I'm hoping to apply to the University of Michigan, but I'm unsure about which school/college there is the easiest to get into. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

It's great that you're interested in the University of Michigan! However, I'd caution against choosing which college to apply to based solely on admissions rates. Remember, it's important that the college fits your academic and career interests.

Michigan has several schools and colleges including, but not limited to: the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA), College of Engineering, Ross School of Business, Stamps School of Art & Design, and School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Each of these has different acceptance rates, but more importantly, they each have different requirements, curriculum focuses, and opportunities. For example, if you want to major in Computer Science, you can do so in LSA or in the College of Engineering, but the type and depth of courses you'll take could be significantly different.

To give you more context, historically, the Ross School of Business and the College of Engineering are often said to be more competitive due to the high demand in those fields. However, the specific requirements and expectations for each college could mean one is easier or more difficult for you specifically, depending on your strengths.

Rather than focusing on which one might be easiest to gain acceptance to, it would be beneficial for you to research what each college offers relative to your interests and career goals. You're going to spend 4 years studying in a college, make sure it's in a field that you're truly passionate about.

Remember, getting accepted is just the first step; you want to be engaged and passionate about your studies for the remainder of your time there. Good luck with your applications!
