Looking for Easy College Majors Suited for Athletes

Hey, I'm currently a junior and play sports pretty seriously. I'm already looking forward to balancing college athletics and academics. Are there any 'easy' majors that are particularly recommended for athletes? Maybe ones that are less time demanding or flexible around sports training schedules?

Based on what I've seen, many student athletes often gravitate toward majors like communication studies, sociology, and some business related fields such as sports management. This is largely due to their relative flexibility and potentially lighter workload when compared to other majors like engineering or pre-med.

Communication studies, for instance, typically involves analysis of media, public speaking, and interpersonal relationships, with a lot of the work revolving around research and presentations. This can often be more manageable than longer problem sets or lab reports that majors like physics or chemistry might require.

Sociology looks into the function of society and human behavior, it's an interesting field which often requires reading and writing papers more than studying for big exams. This can allow for a bit of flexibility when it comes to putting in study hours.

Business-related fields such as sports management might be particularly fitting for athletes given the practical skills and sports industry insights it would provide. This major usually involves some coursework in accounting, marketing, and management.

However, it is key to remember that the term 'easy' can be subjective. What might be easier for one person might be tougher for another based on their interests and strengths. Instead of just looking for the easiest major, try to find a field of study that aligns with your personal interests or future career goals.
