Hey guys, science definitely isn't my strong suit but it's a requirement for my degree program. Any suggestions on the easiest science classes to take, preferably with labs, to fulfill this requirement without tanking my GPA?
I would recommend looking for a science class that you might actually enjoy because this will make it seem easier and less of a chore, and you'll likely do better in it. If you're gearing towards more introductory courses, consider 'Astronomy' or 'Environmental Science'. They usually are not as math-heavy as other sciences and often deal with broad, conceptual principles that can be easier to grasp.
'Astronomy' may seem challenging at first, but for a non-science major, it's usually a bit more conceptual and less math-heavy than physics or chemistry. It also often comes paired with a lab that can be quite engaging as you may get to use telescopes and other cool equipment.
'Environmental Science' is a great course that is usually pretty broad and can be relatively easy. This course often discusses real-world issues, making it interesting and relevant. For the lab component, you might get to do things like fieldwork, examining ecosystems, or running experiments related to sustainability.
Remember to join study groups, attend professor or TA office hours often, and do your best to engage with the subject matter. This will make even a tough class much easier and more enjoyable.
Just a note: 'Easiest' is subjective and really depends on your interests and aptitudes. What one person finds easy, another might find hard. Try to find something that aligns with your interests.
