Easiest College Basketball Conference

I play basketball and I seriously want to continue in college. I'm wondering which college basketball conference is the easiest to play in? I mean in terms of level of competition and such. Any tips would be appreciated.

Since you're interested in college basketball, it's important to strike a balance between the level of competition in a conference and your own athletic abilities, as well as academic and career goals. That said, "easy" could mean different things to different people, so it's crucial to choose wisely based on your specific situation.

To start, the NCAA has three divisions - D1, D2, and D3. D1 is the highest level of competition and might be tough if you aren't already an elite player. D2 and D3 conferences typically have more variety in skill levels. Within these divisions, there are several conferences.

For example, in D3, leagues like the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) or the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) tend to have less competitive teams compared to some of the top D3 conferences such as the University Athletic Association (UAA) or the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

Remember that "easier" does not necessarily equate to better. Ensure you choose a college for the overall fit, including academics and culture, not just the level of basketball competition. You might consider speaking with a high school counselor or a coach. They can provide personal advice based on their knowledge of your abilities and aspirations. It could also be beneficial to reach out to some colleges you're interested in and see if you can talk to their basketball coach or any players on their team.

Playing sports in college is not only about competition but also about personal growth. While your athletic journey is important, don't forget to enjoy each step of the way, learning, and fostering camaraderie with your teammates. Balance in all aspects of your college career can lead to the best outcomes. Good luck!
