Easiest College Careers

I'm trying to decide on what I want to study in college but I'm really not sure. I know that I want something manageable, and not super stressful, so I've been wondering what are the easiest career paths to take in college?

First, it's important to note that the concept of "easy" is highly subjective, as it totally depends on your interests, strengths, and career aspirations. What might be easy for one person could be difficult for another, and it's crucial to select a major or concentration that aligns with your interests and career goals rather than solely opting for one because it is considered 'easy'.

That said, some majors typically demand less time-consuming readings, papers, or lab work and might therefore be considered more manageable by some. These may include Communications, English, or general Business degrees. Each of these paths still offer a respectable curriculum and can lead to a variety of promising careers in journalism, digital media, publishing, management, marketing, and many more.

But rather than chasing an easy curriculum, the better approach could involve thinking about which skills you already have and how those could translate into different fields of study. For example, if you're creative and good at visual thinking, maybe a major in Graphic Design would feel easier to you than a major in Physics would. Similarly, if you're good at interpersonal communication, you might find a major in Sociology or Psychology more 'manageable' than say, a major in Mathematics or Engineering.

Aim for a balance between your passions, abilities, and goals. This way, you're likely to better navigate the stresses associated with your chosen field of study, make the most out of your educational experience, and potentially set yourself up for a satisfying career. Also, remember, college is a learning experience, and the capacity to cope with ‘difficulties’ will serve you well later in life.
