Easiest Social Science Class in College

Hey everybody. I'm going into college soon and I've got to fulfill a social science requirement. I don't mind social sciences, but I do want a manageable workload. Does anybody have suggestions on what the easiest social science class to take in college is?

As a college student, I can definitely relate to wanting a manageable workload alongside all other commitments. The "ease" of a class can vary significantly based on numerous factors, such as your own interests, the specific professor, and the college you're attending. However, generally, certain social science classes are often considered to have more approachable material for a broad audience.

Intro to Psychology tends to be a popular choice due to its broad scope and relative approachability. It usually offers a comprehensive overview of different psychological theories, learning about human behavior, cognition, and emotion. Many students find the material interesting and relevant to everyday life.

Another class to consider is Sociology 101. This course typically focuses on societal structures, relationships, and issues, and does not require prior knowledge. Topics can range from crime, religion, family structure, and social class. It provides useful frameworks for understanding the society we live in.

Lastly, Introduction to Anthropology is another engaging option that usually isn’t as reading-heavy or technical as some other social sciences. It offers a global perspective on the diverse ways humans live and interact, which can be fascinating.

Remember, however, that the difficulty of any course can vary significantly by institution and professor. It might be helpful to check with upperclassmen or use resources like Rate My Professors to get a sense of what to expect from a given course at your college. Also, keep in mind that enjoying what you're studying can make a class seem easier, so it might not be a bad idea to pick a social science class that aligns with your interests so it doesn't feel like a chore.

Also note that it's important not to choose a class just because it is deemed 'easy,' but rather because it interests you and can contribute to your learning and growth in college. Balance finding something manageable with something that will keep you engaged and invested.
