What's considered a 'simple' college major?

Hi! So, I'm working on picking a major, but I'm a bit scared about how tough college courses might be. Are there any majors you guys might suggest that aren't as demanding or known to be 'easier'? Not that I'm not up for a challenge but I don't want to overwork myself either! Drastically needing some insight here!

As an important part of starting your college career is choosing a suitable major. Several majors are often seen as being "less rigorous" or "easier," but it's vital to remember that this can be quite subjective and highly dependent on one's strengths and interests.

For instance, the humanities and social sciences — which include subjects like Sociology, Anthropology, Communication Studies, or English Literature — often require less contact hours and have fewer demanding assignments than some STEM subjects. Nonetheless, they still require a high level of critical thinking, research, and writing skills.

On the other hand, Business-related majors (like Marketing or Management) can also be less intensive in terms of coursework than, say, majors in the Sciences or Engineering.

Physical Education or Recreation Management are also frequently seen as less demanding in terms of intellectual rigor, though they require a lot of practical work and sometimes require certifications.

Comparative Literature is another major that many people see as "easier" because it typically doesn't involve complicated equations, labs, etc.

However, it's crucial to remember that these are generalizations - what might seem easy to one person may be challenging to another, depending on their natural abilities, study habits, and interests.
