Any recommendations for not-so-difficult college chemistry courses?

I'm trying to plan out my future course load, and chemistry isn't my strongest suit. What are some college chemistry courses that are, let's say, on the easier end of the spectrum?

Certainly, bear in mind that the difficulty of a course can be subjective and depends largely on the professor and your own efforts in the course. However, there are certainly some general chemistry courses that could be considered a bit less demanding.

Introductory or general chemistry courses might be a good pathway for you. These typically include an overview of the major concepts in chemistry without delving into too much depth. They can provide a substantial understanding of the principles of chemistry, while potentially being less rigorous than more specialized or advanced courses.

A 'Chemistry in everyday life' or 'Chemistry for Non-Majors' class may be available in some colleges. These courses aim to connect chemistry with common, real-world examples, so the content might come off as more relatable and easier to grasp.

Lastly, you might want to consider a course in environmental or green chemistry. This is a field of chemistry that focuses on designing products and processes that minimize the use and generation of hazardous substances. While it still involves important chemical principles, its focus on real-world applications like recycling and air quality might make it more engaging.

Regardless of the course you opt for, remember that accompanying resources can make a big difference. Use office hours, join study groups, and seek additional help if necessary. The right course can make chemistry more approachable and even enjoyable. Good luck with your academic journey!
