Easiest college in Cornell to get into?

Hey folks! This is something I've been curious about. I've heard that certain colleges within Cornell have a higher acceptance rate than others. Can anyone share their experiences or insights? Which college in Cornell is considered to be the easiest to get into?

While the exact acceptance rate varies from year to year, Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR) have generally reported higher acceptance rates compared to the university's other colleges.

CALS, ILR, and the College of Human Ecology also participate in Cornell's contract college system, which means New York residents have separate admissions pool which can have higher acceptance rates compared to non-residents.

However, it's very important to remember that "easier to get into" doesn't mean it's easy. All of Cornell's colleges are extremely competitive, and you should also consider the right fit for your academic and career interests. For example, ILR might have a slightly higher acceptance rate, but it's specifically focused on labor relations and related fields. If your interests don't align with that, it wouldn't make sense to apply there.

The key is to apply to the college that best aligns with your interests and where you feel you'll thrive academically. College admissions is not just about getting in, but also about how successful you can be once you are in. After all, getting accepted is just the first step – you'll want to succeed in your chosen field of study and make the most out of your collegiate experience too.
