In which military branch do soldiers predominantly engage in parachuting?

Hey guys, I've been doing a bit of research about life in the military post-high school and had a question. I know this might sound a bit extreme, but which branch generally gets trained to jump out of airplanes? I've heard about this being a part of some trainings but I'm not sure where it fits. Thanks!

Hi! Many military branches offer opportunities for their soldiers to be trained to jump out of airplanes, or parachute, but this is most commonly associated with the Army, namely through the Airborne School. This school is a basic training platform for soldiers who wish to learn military parachuting skills.

The Airborne School, based in Fort Benning, Georgia, is a three-week course that provides training in parachuting, parachute packing, and maintenance with an emphasis on safety. This course consists of ground week, tower week, and jump week. It culminates in the soldiers completing a series of parachute jumps from both aircraft and towers to demonstrate their competency in the skills learned.

Another prominent Army group associated with parachuting is the 82nd Airborne Division. This elite infantry division specializes in parachute assault operations.

Remember, becoming 'Airborne qualified' is not so much about the branch of the military you join as it is about the role or job you choose within that branch. If parachuting is something you're interested in, you should communicate that interest when discussing your potential job assignments with your recruiter.
