Military Branch Lingo: Who Says 'Hooah'?

So, I've heard some people in the military say 'Hooah' and I'm totally curious now. What military branch actually uses that? Just a fun question from a junior excited about a military career after high school!

The term "Hooah" is indeed a part of military lingo, and it's most commonly associated with the United States Army. It's like a vocal shorthand used by the personnel to express enthusiasm, approval, or acknowledgment. It can mean everything from "yes" to "understood" to "I agree."

While other branches of the military also have their unique verbal affirmations, they differ from the Army's "Hooah." For example, the Marines and the Navy typically use "Oorah," and the Air Force uses "Hooah" as well but not as frequently. It's great to see you're already engaged with the uniqueness of military culture as you consider a service career after high school!
