Seeking the least physically demanding military branch.

Hey, y'all! I've been considering enlisting after high school, but my physical capabilities are a bit limiting. Can someone tell me which military branches are known to be less physically demanding?

While all branches of the military have physical demands and fitness requirements, some roles or positions might be less physically intense than others. This is more about the specific job or role you have within a branch, not the branch itself.

The Air Force and the Space Force are generally considered to have lower physical requirements compared to branches such as the Army or the Marines, mainly because many of their roles are technical or support roles. They emphasize technology, intelligence, and support roles.

However, even in these branches, there will be physical fitness tests and requirements. For instance, the Air Force requires a Physical Fitness Test that includes a 1.5-mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups. So, keep in mind that you'll still need to be in good health and maintain physical fitness, regardless of branch.

Consider also that while the Coast Guard may not be traditionally thought of in the same category as the Army, Marines, Navy, or Air Force, it also has a wide variety of roles which might not require the same level of physical exertion.

Your best bet would be to reach out to recruiters from different branches and inquire about your options. They would be able to guide you and help you find a role that fits your capabilities and interests. Always remember what's most important is to follow a path that aligns with your goals and skills.
