Naval Operations: Which Branch?

Silly question perhaps, but which military branch typically conducts naval operations? I know it might seem obvious, but I just want to confirm before making any decisions. Also, if anyone has any info on what that typically entails, that'd be great!

Naval operations typically fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Navy. This particular branch of the military is designed and equipped to conduct warfare at sea and its operations can consist of a wide variety of activities, from warfare to peacekeeping, and from humanitarian aid to technological developments.

Their primary responsibilities include maintaining the freedom of the seas, protecting commerce and shipping routes, and effectively responding to crises around the globe, when and where they arise. This can involve anything from active combat situations to search and rescue operations.

Depending on your role within the U.S. Navy, you could be involved in anything from piloting aircraft to submarine operations, to maintaining the systems of a ship or even providing important logistical and medical support. It's a diverse branch with a multitude of opportunities. Each role comes with its unique set of challenges, but also its specific rewards.

Just bear in mind that joining the military is a significant life decision, with long-term commitments and profound ramifications, so be sure to do your research and consider all angles before making your choice.
