Easiest Sports to Join in College?

I'm heading to college soon and am thinking about staying active through sports. I'm not particularly skilled in any specific sport - any recommendations on what might be the easiest sports to join and participate in at a college level?

Joining a sport in college is indeed a great way to stay active and meet new people. There's a wide selection of sports available at most colleges and here are some of the more accessible ones:

1. Intramural or club sports: These are generally more relaxed when it comes to skill level and commitment. Sports like soccer, basketball, dodgeball, or volleyball have intramural or club teams. They often have leagues for different skill levels too, so you can find the one that suits you.

2. Running cross-country/track: If you enjoy running or jogging, you might consider the cross-country or track team. Not only is running beneficial physically, but it also relieves stress. Plus, you don't necessarily need any special skills to start - just patience and perseverance to build up your endurance over time.

3. Rowing/Crew: Many colleges with a body of water nearby or rowing machines have rowing or crew clubs. These often welcome beginners and teach you everything you need to know. It's a great full-body workout and a fantastic team sport.

4. Ultimate Frisbee: This is a rising sport that is often welcomed at the club level in many colleges. Ultimate Frisbee combines elements of soccer, basketball, and American football. Generally, catching a frisbee is not too difficult and you can quickly improve with practice.

5. Recreational classes: Many colleges also offer physical education/recreational classes, which can include anything from dance and yoga, to rock climbing and swimming. These can be a great way to try out a variety of activities and perhaps discover a new passion.

Remember, the best sport for you is the one you enjoy the most. So, try out a few different options until you find the sport where you enjoy both the physical activity and the social aspect. Happy sporting!
