What are considered to be the easiest subjects in college?

This might be a bit subjective, but I'm curious to see everyone's opinions. In your experience, what would you say are the easiest subjects to study in college? I'm scheduling my first semester and want to balance my harder subjects with some that are not as demanding.

From a more general standpoint, "easier" college courses usually entail subjects with less time-consuming work or reduced complexity. However, it's essential to note that this is highly dependent on your personal strengths, interests, and previous experience. For example, students with a natural inclination toward English may find literature classes or creative writing to be less strenuous, while those who enjoy mathematics might perceive a statistics course as more straightforward.

That being said, certain courses are generally perceived as relaxed due to their lesser demand for prerequisites and less rigorous content. Those often include introductory classes in fields like Sociology or Psychology. These courses tend to cover broad overviews of the subject matter and are based more on understanding concepts rather than memorizing detailed information.

Another common choice is Physical Education classes, which can range from weight training to yoga. They require a physical effort but often don't have heavy academic requirements. Art or music appreciation classes are also a good option if you're looking for an engaging class with a lighter workload.

It's always a good idea to read course descriptions and syllabi if available, or seek advice from academic advisors or upperclassmen to gauge the workload associated with a specific course. You might also want to consider the type of assessment (exams, essays, projects etc.) used in the courses as some assessment types might be easier for you than others. This way, you can build a balanced schedule that suits your interests and academic strengths.
