What does a 1300 on the PSAT represent in terms of percentiles?

Hey guys, just got my PSAT score back and I'm sitting on a 1300. I'm trying to figure out where that places me percentile-wise. Like, how did I do compared to other students? Not sure where to find this info or how it's calculated. Any insights?

Hey there! Congrats on your score! A 1300 is a solid performance on the PSAT. For your percentile ranking, this would generally place you in the 85th to 90th percentile. This means you scored better than 85 to 90 percent of the students who took the test.

The College Board, which administers the PSAT, provides percentile charts that are updated each year. You can find this information in your PSAT score report or by visiting the College Board website. Percentiles can fluctuate a bit each year based on the testing population, but a 1300 has historically been a strong score.

Keep up the good work, and use this information to guide your preparation for the SAT if you plan on taking it. Good luck!
