Best 'easy' college majors?

Hi folks! I'm a high school junior trying to figure out my future. As much as I want a degree, I also want to enjoy my time in college. So, I was wondering, what's generally considered the easiest thing to major in? Please share any experiences, thanks!

When it comes to choosing a major, the definition of "easy" can vary widely from person to person. It largely depends on your interests, strengths, and career goals. One person may find a subject easy, while another might struggle with the same material. Here are some majors that are often perceived as being less demanding:

1. Communications: This is widely considered one of the "easier" majors due to the nature of the coursework, which usually focuses on practical and theoretical concepts relating to human communication.

2. Sociology: Sociology often appeals to students because it involves studying various societal behaviors, patterns, and structures, which many find inherently interesting.

3. Education: While it may entail some practical training and teaching experience, many students who love collaborating with others and making a positive impact find this major enjoyable.

4. English: If you enjoy reading and writing, this could be a relatively easy and fulfilling major for you.

5. Business Administration: If you have an aptitude for commerce or project-based work, this could appeal to you.

6. Psychology: Psychology majors often get to explore fascinating aspects of human behavior.

Remember, 'easy' is relative! It’s important to choose a major that aligns with your career goals. Or at the very least, a major that provides transferable skills that you can apply in many industries. For example, Communication majors often end up in roles within marketing, public relations, journalism, or even HR due to their strong interpersonal and communication skills. Similarly, a person majoring in Business Administration might end up in any number of industries, from finance to technology to non-profit work.

Ultimately, you should try to choose a major that you're genuinely interested in. This can make the workload feel less overwhelming and your time in college more enjoyable. Before declaring a major, consider taking a variety of classes in your first year or two of college. This will give you a better idea of what you enjoy and where you excel.
