Looking for Small Colleges with Easier Admissions

Hey folks, I'm in my junior year and I'm starting to look at colleges. I'm not so much interested in going to a really intense, selective university. I'd rather be in a smaller, more intimate learning environment. Are there small colleges out there that are also somewhat easier to get into? Hoping not to give myself too much stress with the admissions process. Thanks!

Absolutely! There are definitely smaller colleges that offer a more intimate learning environment and have less selective admission processes. The focus on small class sizes and personalized attention can be a great fit for many students. Here are a few to consider:

1. St. Mary's College in Maryland. This is a public honors college known for its liberal arts curriculum and a student-faculty ratio of 10:1. The acceptance rate is around 77%.

2. Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. Offering a solid liberal arts program, Lewis & Clark features small classes with a student-faculty ratio of 12:1. The acceptance rate is approximately 69%.

3. Juniata College in Pennsylvania. Another liberal arts institution, Juniata, has a 11:1 student to faculty ratio. Notably, it has an flexibility in creating your own major. The acceptance rate here is around 76%.

4. Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. This university boasts small class sizes with the majority of its undergraduate classes having fewer than 20 students. The acceptance rate is approximately 85%.

These are just a few examples to get your search started. It's important to note, though, that while these schools may have less rigorous admissions processes, they still offer quality education. Always research each institution to see if it suits your academic goals and personal preferences. Good luck with your college search!
