California Dreaming - Easiest colleges to get into in LA?

Considering studying in Los Angeles. Can someone give me a rundown of the colleges that are easier to get into and offer good programs? I don't have a major in mind yet, so information about general education would be helpful too.

Sure, happy to help! Los Angeles is an exciting city with many great educational institutions. While "easier" is always relative in the world of college admissions, here's a list of relatively less competitive LA area colleges to consider:

1. California State University - Northridge (CSUN): CSUN offers diverse programs and has less competitive admission standards. It's one of the largest public universities in California and is known for programs like psychology, cinema and television arts, and business.

2. California State University - Dominguez Hills : Located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, CSUDH has a good range of programs and is relatively easier to get into than many other colleges. Their health science and business administration programs are particularly notable.

3. Woodbury University: A smaller, private institution in Burbank that's known for its business, design, and architecture programs. Admission is not as competitive as some other LA schools.

4. Mt. Saint Mary's University: A private Catholic liberal arts university that's also easier to get into. They offer a nurturing environment and notable nursing, business, and psychology programs.

5. Los Angeles City College (LACC): LACC is a community college that offers associate degree programs. It's an excellent option if you want to start at a community college and then transfer to a four-year university through the transfer agreement options they have with many institutions.

Remember, when you're looking at each college, be sure to consider not just the admission standards but also the programs offered, the campus culture, and the available resources. It's important to find a school where you think you'd thrive!
