What are the easier math classes at the University of San Francisco?

Hey everyone, I'm planning my course schedule for next year and math is not my strong suit. Does anyone know which classes at the University of San Francisco are on the easier side? Or any professors who are particularly good at teaching math in a clear and engaging way?

Answer:

While challenging, there are several math classes at the University of San Francisco that students generally find manageable and engaging.

MATH 100 may be a good choice for you. Titled "Excursions in Mathematics," this class covers a variety of mathematical topics using real-world examples, which may make it more accessible to those who aren't strong in math.

Another option could be MATH 115, "Mathematical Ideas." This class aims to give students an understanding of different mathematical concepts and how they can be applied.

MATH 112, "Finite Mathematics," is another class that tends to focus on applicable mathematical concepts such as linear and matrix algebra, linear programming, and probability theory.

As for professors, although learning styles are individual and what one person might find easy, you might find challenging, many students tend to enjoy Professor William Olson's classes. He uses many real-world examples and his teaching style is said to make abstract math concepts easier to grasp. Professor Veselka Kessler has also received positive mentions for her clarity and approachability.
