Suggestions for the easiest classes at Lone Star College?

Hello all, I’m going to be a freshman next year at Lone Star College and I’m starting to plan my schedule. To balance out my heavy major subjects, I thought it might be a good idea to enroll in some “lighter” courses. Any recommendations?

One of the crucial things to remember when picking out classes is that what is perceived as "easy" can greatly depend on your personal strengths and interests. However, generally speaking, there can be some courses that many students find manageable. Here are a few possibilities:

- Intro to Communication (SPCH 1311): This course typically focuses on basics of effective speaking and listening. It can be straightforward if you're comfortable with public speaking or willing to improve in this area.

- Principles of Sociology (SOCI 1301): Many students find sociology to be an interesting course. It discusses the patterns of social behavior, which you might find relevant and thus "easier".

- Physical Education: If you enjoy being active, taking a physical education course could serve as a fun and light contrast to heavier academic courses.

- Music or Art Appreciation courses: If you're creatively inclined or simply appreciate different forms of art and music, this could serve as an enjoyable light course.

- General Psychology (PSYC 2301): This course can be fascinating as it provides an overview of the human mind and how it works.

Remember, the perceived difficulty of a course can also depend on the professor teaching it. Therefore, it can be beneficial to check Rate My Professor for professor reviews, as the teaching style and course load can greatly impact your experience in the course.

Lastly, take advantage of resources such as academic advisory teams at your college. They're there to help guide your course selection based on your academic and personal interests.
