Choosing majors: What's the easiest one to take in college?

I'm in my junior year of high school trying to figure out my game plan for college. To help me make informed decisions, can you guys give me any input on which majors are generally consented to be the 'easiest' to take in college?

Before diving into suggestions, it's important to remember that 'easy' is very subjective. What seems easy to one person might be difficult to another, as it heavily depends on a student’s skills, interests, and natural inclinations. In other words, if you enjoy the subject and it aligns with your strengths, you're likely to find it relatively 'easier' than others.

That being said, Education, Social Science, and certain Humanities majors (like English, History, and Communications), are often perceived less strenuous compared to others. This could be due to less extensive mathematical or scientific coursework involved.

On the other hand, Passion-Based Arts majors (Drama, Music, Fine Arts) are sometimes seen as 'easy' because the work often involves performing, creating, and thinking about art, which can be fun and engaging for people who enjoy these activities. However, mastering any art form can certainly be challenging and require significant time and energy.

There are also majors in Recreation or Leisure Studies at some colleges, which may involve less academic rigor compared to, say, Physics or Organic Chemistry.

However, I strongly advise against picking a major simply because it's perceived as 'easier'. Remember, college is also about preparing you for your desired career or graduate studies. It might be better to think about what you enjoy studying, what you are good at, and how these align with your career goals. Look at the coursework, internship opportunities, job placements, and more for potential majors, and use that information to guide your decision so that you’ll have an enjoyable and productive college experience.
