Hi, I'm planning to apply to UC Davis soon. I heard about this college composition requirement they've got, and it kinda freaks me out. I'm not the best at essays... Does anyone know the easiest way to satisfy this requirement?
UC Davis does have a Qualifying English Composition requirement. Out of high school, you can satisfy this requirement in a few different ways.
One way is to score a 3 or higher on the AP English Language or Literature exam. Similarly, scoring a 5 or higher on an IB English HL exam would also satisfy this requirement. From a college coursework perspective, you would need to earn a C or higher in a transferrable college English composition course.
If you don't check off any of these boxes, UC Davis still allows you to satisfy this requirement by passing the Writing Placement Survey, which is administered to incoming students before they arrive.
