Easy Admission at UC San Diego's Colleges

So, UC San Diego is one of my top choices. But I've heard that each college within UC San Diego has different admission criteria. Could anybody weigh in on which one seems 'easier' for admission? Just trying to boost my odds a bit. Thanks in advance!

While it can be confusing, it's important to clarify that all undergraduate applicants to UC San Diego (UCSD) are reviewed by the same criteria, regardless of the undergraduate residential college system. The specific college you apply to doesn't impact your odds of being admitted to UCSD, though it will significantly shape your general education and residential experience should you be admitted. You'll rank your choices of colleges after you've been accepted.

The seven colleges (Revelle, John Muir, Thurgood Marshall, Earl Warren, Eleanor Roosevelt, Sixth, and Seventh) have different general education requirements, philosophies, and programming. The 'best fit' depends on your academic interests and personal preferences. For example, if you're interested in a well-rounded and rigorous General Education program, Revelle could be a good fit. Meanwhile, if you have a strong social justice focus, Thurgood Marshall might be appealing.

I hope this brings clarity to your application process! Remember, focus on demonstrating your personal strengths, qualifications, and fit for UCSD overall in your application. This will significantly contribute to your success in gaining admission. Good luck!
